Goin For Broke (1994)

Distributed by Campfire Records.The Great Divide formed in 1992. With local success the band decided to record an album in hopes of enlarging and maintaining their fan base. Since the band had no assets they drew up a proposal and submitted it to some wealthier friends. The friends conceded and band began looking for direction on recording an album. After talking with Gary P. Nunn, who appears on the track Alive & Well, the band decided to employ Lloyd Maines for the job of producer. At that time Maines was living in Lubbock and working regularly at Caldwell Studios. The band spent two weeks in studio with Maines. The out come is "Goin For Broke" which defined the bands sound at the time.
